Lost your d20?

Don’t have your RPG dice with you?

Need to roll an odd number like 1d11 only to realize rolling
(2d6-1) is NOT like rolling a 1d11 because it’s less likely to roll a “1” or “11” and more likely to turn up “6”?

Great News! Now you can simply use this chart! Enjoy!

This product is a 1 page PDF that is a lookup chart for using a few d6 to roll anything from 1d2 to 1d20, or a 1d100.

To use this chart:

1. Roll the number of dice the chart specifies with colors. Order is important so either use the dice colors on the chart or call out, “this die will be first,” before rolling.

2. Compare your dice values to the chart and look down to the “Result” row for your answer. Sometimes the result will tell you to reroll one or both dice.

This technique and presentation was designed and (c) by Danny Burbol

 Author’s Note:

I was working on a role playing game idea that allowed for “rolling your stats”.  It’s a neat idea but standard RPG dice only include 1d2, 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d12, and 1d20.  So I had to come up with a way to roll any number from 1 to 20.  Ta-da!  That’s how this chart and this technique were born.
