I know you’re asking yourself: "what the heck is siterightdesign.com?". Well, I officially closed my web design business after nearly 2 years of non-use. In fact, the web domain has already expired! Oops! :) Basically, I found employment and let all my customers go about 2 years ago. I actually just put the paperwork to the board of equalization and city hall in the mail.
On top of that I currently have no plan to make/sell any more comic books in the near future. That was a fun experiment that yielded *negative* profits and I’ve come to my senses on that one! ;) Which leads to a funny delema.. do I close my comixpress account that doesn’t make any money, or leave it open "just in case" people get a crazy urge to buy all my stuff? :)
So what’s next? Well, I’ve been employed at a pretty awesome job working on facebook games for the last 20 or so months. :) I’ve been focusing all my creative efforts there. Over the years, I’ve noticed that my creative cycles have a rhythm that moves from playing music, to drawing/sketching, to creative writing, to coding games, and back to music again. Currently, the drawing bug seems to be tapering off while the coding games bug seems to be ramping up. Lucky for me, I make games for a living and have little need to code outside of work. However I have been trying to fight the urge to work on my novel, which I affectionately refer to as "the book I’m not writing" :)
I *have* been reading a ridiculous amount lately… maybe I’ll post a couple book reviews in the coming weeks…
Later!
~Danny
