Here’s the current state of things. I’m no longer employed, I’m self-employed and making websites for a living. It’s a rocky start but it’s getting close to covering all my bills. Hopefully in another month or two it will actually cover my bills (because my savings is getting dangerously low these days.) So if you know anyone who needs some website work done, please send them my way. (Thanks)

As far as *this* website goes…

At the moment, All the comic books in the menu to the left are completed projects. This includes Juvenile Drivel (yes, books 6 is the last Juvenile Drivel for now). People don’t buy them for the amazing artwork, they buy them because they are well written and enjoyable to read (at least, that’s what they tell me :).

My comic books are available as print-on-demand through comixpress.com (I also have some in stock if you’d like to get a signed copy directly from me, just contact me.) As much as I’d like to give them away, I can’t. So enjoy previewing them online, but remember, only half of each book is online. To get it all, you’ll have to buy a copy (and I thank you for doing so).

• My Comic Journal (blog in comic form, updated whenever I can)
• My Art Notes (blog all about sharing knowledge/experience, updated whenever I can)
• Blonde Shelly, my creative commons experiment (still hammering out the details.)

Flash Games, etc:

• There’s a new Games Section of the site that I have not gotten a chance to add to the menu yet.
• I just finished making a flash tetris clone
• I’m working on a Flash Game Tutorial Series. So far I have:
  • Lesson 1: Intro to Flash/ActionScript3 & AppScreens
  • (coming soon) Lesson 2: Drawing Blocks & Keyboard Input
  • (coming soon) Lesson 3: Blocks Game Board and Pieces
  • (coming soon) Lesson 4: Getting it all working together like a game
  • (coming soon) Lesson 5: Adding Sound FX
  • (coming soon) Lesson 6: Using Text Fields (Scoring, etc)

• this website is old, it’s a pale example of what I’m capable these days, therefore, I’m embarrassed by it. I’m planning a re-launch just as soon as my web design work covers the bills *and* leaves me with enough time to redo this site.
